David Szetela
Owner and CEO
Online Advertising expert David Szetela founded Clix Marketing in 2003, following a 25-year career in technology sales and marketing as an executive at Apple Computer and Ziff-Davis Publishing. He is active in the Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) and was the author of two lessons in SEMPO's Advanced Search Advertising course. His writing has been published in his weekly column as a Search Engine Watch Expert, Profitable PPC , in the SEW Blog, in online publications like Search Engine Land and in the Clix Marketing Blog. His weekly Webmasterradio.fm show, PPC Rockstars, is broadcast every Monday at 4 PM Eastern time. He is a frequent speaker at industry conferences like PPC Summit, Marketing Sherpa B2B Summit, SMX and Search Engine Strategies (see list of upcoming speaking engagements here).

James Thompson
Chief Strategy Officer
James is a technology-savvy senior executive with sixteen years of experience merging technology and marketing to bring innovative products to market and reach new customer segments. Before Clix James was VP of Technology for New Equity Financial, where he spearheaded the company's PPC campaigns. James’ internet experience started in early 1994 as the first Editor-in-Chief of the Ziff-Davis publication “Inside The Internet.” He also launched the ZD Journal’s original web site, email tip service and other interactive digital products. He launched broadband cable services for Intermedia@Home, served as CEO of the application development firm Internet Tool and Die, and consulted with large corporations as an eStrategist for Whittman-Hart. James keeps Clix on the technological forefront with his strategic leadership and internet knowhow. James has a Masters degree in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Engineering.
Akin Tosyali
President
Akin manages the day-to-day operations of Clix worldwide. Before joining Clix he built and managed the search engine marketing program for local shopping engine ShopLocal. He also managed product development for ShopLocal's automated campaign management tools that powered the keyword-building strategies for big-box retailers like Target, Best Buy and Sears. The system was built to bid on over one million keywords spanning over 200 accounts. Prior to ShopLocal, Akin held senior sales and management positions with Experian and InfoUSA, and has been a presenter at advertising/marketing conferences. Akin is the third member of the Clix team with a significant Geek Streak, by virtue of his degree in Computer Science.
Thomas Rasinen
Advertising Campaign Manager
Thomas is a skilled PPC campaign manager who's a Certified AdWords Professional, and focuses on complex PPC campaign construction, ad copy and landing page testing, and client communications. A graduate of Murray State University, Thomas has held positions in recruiting and retail marketing/merchandising, and is the Clix resident expert on pronunciation of difficultly-spelled words.
Mae Flint
Advertising Campaign Manager
Mae has responsibility for creating, managing and optimizing PPC campaigns. In addition, Mae is the Clix Arbiter of Taste and Design, responsible for design and creation of display ads, creating high-response, dynamic ads for Clix clients. Mae has held positions in marketing, public relations and event management. Like Thomas, Mae graduated from Murray State University, but she is unlike Thomas in nearly every other conceivable way.
