I've found the same thing as you did with expanded broad match. Lots of clicks but very few sales (we track sales more closely than leads).

The solution. Just get rid of broad match altogether and replace it with phrase match. I've written a detailed how to on &lt;a title="" href="http://foliovision.com/2007/11/05/adwords-expanded-broad-match/" rel="nofollow"&gt;combating Google's expanded broad match cash grab&lt;/a&gt;.

At this point, I have to agree with you the fox is guarding the hen house. Google is not being careful with our advertiser dollars.</description>
